A driver killed in a crash on U.S. 95A has been identified as 34-year-old Candus Hernandez of Fernley.Â
According to Nevada State Police, the crash happened on April 17, just after 1 p.m., north of Sierra Way in Lyon County.
A Ford F-150 was traveling northbound when it crossed over the centerline and struck a Chevrolet Suburban. The Chevrolet, driven by Hernadez, overturned, while the Ford came to rest in the northbound lanes.
Hernandez was declared dead by medical personnel at the scene; her passenger was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

Emergency personnel are on the scene of a fatal accident at 95A and Sierra Way north of Yerington and south of Silver Springs.
According to Nevada Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened around 1 p.m. Friday near Mile Marker 23 between the railroad tracks and Sierra Lane.
At least one person was killed in the crash; two others were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
