An early spring storm will impact the region with strong and damaging winds and mountains snow.
A winter weather advisory is up for the mountains through Thursday morning. Six to ten inches of snow will be possible along the Sierra Crest during this period. Ridge top winds may also gust as high as 100 mph Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning.
For the rest of Nevada its rain showers and strong winds impacting travel. High Wind Warning and Wind Advisories have been issued for much of northern California and northern Nevada. Wind prone areas may see gusts as high as 60 mph.
The upper level trough driving the winds will move east of the region on Thursday as high pressure builds back across the region with a good looking warming trend for the Easter weekend.
Partly cloudy skies with highs back into the upper-60s and mid-70s for Saturday and Sunday respectively.
