A suspected fentanyl trafficker was arrested in Reno following a multi-agency investigation.
Earlier this year, detectives with the Regional Narcotics Unit got information about a person suspected of dealing a large quantity of fentanyl in the area of Selmi Drive and Sutro Street in Reno.
Following an investigation, detectives identified 31-year-old Ladorian Hale as the suspect.
Over the course of several months, investigators conducted four drug purchases from Hale to confirm his involvement.
On April 29, detectives from the Regional Narcotics Unit, Northern Nevada Drug Trafficking Task Force, Regional Gang Unit, and Washoe County K9 Unit arrested Hale near Selmi Drive and Clear Acre Lane.
A search warrant was executed at Hale’s home, where detectives found more than 65 grams of fentanyl with an estimated street value of $9,881. Investigators also found three grams of crack cocaine and a handgun.
Two AR-15 style rifles were found in Hale’s car.
He was booked on the following charges:
Trafficking of a Controlled Substance
Possession of a Controlled Substance (6 counts)
Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale (5 counts)
Sale of a Controlled Substance (5 counts)
Ex-Felon in Possession of a Firearm (3 counts)
Possession of a Short-Barreled Rifle
Possession of a Firearm without a Serial Number
