  • Jackson Chastain Happy Father’s Day! We’re at the start of our warmup for the week, with the official high hitting 91 at Reno’s airport Sunday. It’ll be increasingly nicer for your evening shenanigans, especially into the late evening as temperatures drop into the 70s by 10pm. A light breeze of about 5 to 10 mph will be sustained through the evening and overnight. Overnight temperatures will dip into the low 60s. The hottest days of the week come Tuesday and Wednesday where we’ll be pushing the 100s. The record high on Tuesday is 99 degrees, so there’s a decent shot that we at least match the record that day. There’s a solid shot at heat alerts on those days, which is something we’re watching. Highs will remain in the 90s until Friday, when an upper low swings in. Cooler air will quickly drop highs into the low 80s for the coming weekend, with a shot at some lows in the 40s Sunday morning. Shower chances look to remain well to the north closer to Oregon due to the more northerly nature of the low.
