Three people were arrested in Virginia City on Thursday evening on multiple drug-related charges, while two of them are also facing weapons charges.

It started with a traffic stop on D Street around 4:59 p.m., according to a release on the Storey County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.

During the stop, deputies developed reasonable suspicion of 46-year-old Christa Dyer and 45-year-old Hubert Dyer of Virginia City and had a K9 conduct a sniff of the vehicle.

The dog gave a positive alert, and a search of the car revealed suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl, and heroin.

Both of the Dyers were taken into custody, and a search warrant was issued for their nearby home.

When deputies arrived at the home, they encountered 67-year-old Sergio Molina.

Molina was on court-ordered conditions for a prior drug arrest and was arrested for failure to comply with those conditions.

A search of the apartment turned up additional drugs, items for drug sales, drug paraphernalia, and a shotgun with ammunition.

Drugs and items for drug sales were also found in a bag carried by Molina.

All three people were taken to the Storey County Detention Facility.
