Storey County badge
A Sun Valley man is dead after authorities say he was hit and crushed by an excavator bucket in Storey County early Tuesday morning.
 
Deputies say the incident happened at a business on Peru Drive in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center, just after 7 a.m.
 
Deputies say despite life saving measures, 64-year-old Trino Saucedo Lechuga died on scene.
 
The Storey County Sheriff's Office and the Nevada Occupational Safety and Health Administration are conducting investigations.
 
"The Storey County Sheriff's Office extends our condolences to the family, friends, and co-workers of Mr. Saucedo Lechuga during this difficult time," the office said on a Facebook post.Â
