Authorities have released the name of the man killed in a shooting in Fernley on Monday.Â
Lyon County deputies say 45-year-old Fernley resident Richard Allen Hightower died after witnesses reported him arguing with the two suspects, 40-year-old Fernley resident Jeremy Barrett and 44-year-old Fernley resident James Edward Karol.
Both suspects have since been taken into custody. Both Barrett and Karol were charged with Open Murder and remain in the Lyon County with No Bail.
The investigation remains ongoing.

The Lyon County Sheriff's Office has arrested two suspects following a deadly shooting in Fernley on Monday.
The suspects have been identified as 44-year-old Fernley resident James Edward Karol and 40-year-old Fernley resident Jeremey Barrett.
The LCSO confirmed Karol's arrest in a press release on Monday evening, while a Sheriff's Office spokesperson confirmed the arrest of Barrett to 2 News Nevada.
Investigators have identified Barrett as the individual responsible for the shooting.
As of 11:45 p.m., the scene of the shooting is still active, with a heavy law enforcement presence in the area.
The shooting happened on June 1 around 4:30 p.m. on Burger Road, according to a release from the LCSO.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found a man suffering from a single gunshot wound.
Paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses reported the victim had been involved in an altercation with two men just before the shooting.
After the shooting, both men fled the area, one on a red quad and one in a tan Jeep, according to authorities.
