The Lyon County Sheriff's Office arrested a Dayton man on Friday on a charge stemming from an investigation into child abuse.

According to an LCSO release, the investigation was initiated by the Storey County Sheriff’s Office, but the events under investigation occurred in Lyon County, and the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit assumed responsibility for the investigation.

In the course of their work, detectives found probable cause to arrest 38-year-old Dayton resident Adam Wilson on one count of felony abuse of a child.

Wilson was booked into the Lyon County Jail. His bail has been set at $75,000.

The case remains under investigation.
