The Reno Police Department issued 88 tickets and gave 49 warnings during Pedestrian Safety Operations last month.
Eight officers carried out enforcement operations either within the designated Pedestrian Safety Zones in the downtown area or areas of high pedestrian traffic.
The operations were conducted with the help of a grant provided by the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety, according to a release from the Reno Police Department.
Efforts were focused on drivers and pedestrians who were breaking laws that improve pedestrian safety.
